Numbers are sequential and gapless per year (INV-2026-0001, INV-2026-0002, and so on), which is what most tax authorities expect. Generated invoices are immutable: line items are snapshotted at generation time, so the document you sent never changes.

Online payments through Stripe are on the roadmap. Today you record payments as they arrive (bank transfer, card, cash, anything), and the invoice tracks the open balance, including partial payments.
